Anthony Joshua rejects Cristiano Ronaldo’s kind of dream, reveals his retirement age

Nigerian-born British World heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua has declared that he is not chasing the Cristiano Ronaldo’s kind dream of remaining in sports for a very long time.

Joshua, who will be defending his belts on Saturday night against Ukraine’s Oleksandar Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, also revealed that he would be retiring from boxing between the age of 36 to

Joshua, 31, had before revealed how much he admires Ronaldo, who is gearing to play football into his fortie

The Portugal captain is back in the Premier League at 36, and in an interview with Metro, Joshua was asked if Ronaldo’s age gives him(AJ) the motivation to continue fighting well into his 30

The British boxer said, “He’s only kicking a football, isn’t he? What a man. We always compare ourselves to the one in a billion: he’s one in a billion and we always seem to compare ourselves to that

“I can’t chase the Cristiano Ronaldo dream. Cristiano is one of the people I see asking for strength and courage. It comes with hardship but at the end of it, is self-satisfactio

“I want to be known as a throwback fighter, that I took on challenges. That’s what my legacy should be. It would be good for my son as well when he’s older. ‘Yeah, my dad fought everyone…’ I want him to realise I was a man respected for fighting everyone in my divisio

Asked how long he thinks he can go on for in the sport, Anthony Joshua add

“I think you’ve got between 36 and 40. So at 36 it’s kind of like, how many more years do you go beyond that? Do you do the full yard to 4

“Forty seems like the age where it’s like, ‘okay, you’ve done this for a long time now’. So yeah, 36 to 40 is when I look at my career

Carabao Cup: He can’t even run – Dublin slams Martial after Man Utd 1-0 defeat
    to West Ham
    ByClimaxtrend
    SEP 23, 2021
Manchester United star, Anthony Martial has been blamed for the club’s woeful
outing in the Carabao Cup against West Ham United last night.
Former United striker, Dion Dublin slammed the Frenchman’s performance in their
    1-0 defeat to the Hammers.
The Red Devils are now out of this season’s League Cup at the first hurdle, with
Manuel Lanzini’s goal deciding the game at Old Trafford.
Martial was handed his second start of the season with Cristiano Ronaldo rested,
Mason Greenwood among the subs and Edinson Cavani still working his way back to
    full fitness.
The Frenchman, however, failed to take his chance and Dublin is insisting that his
(Martial) body language was “horrible to watch”.
“We need to see more from Anthony Martial, we have said it many times before
but he is not helping his cause,” Dublin told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“I want to see him sweating and putting the ball in the back of the net.
“He has not done enough since being at United, you see flashes and think it is the
start then he doesn’t do anything.
“His body language is horrible to watch, he doesn’t want to run around and work
hard to be Manchester United’s number nine.”
