Aubameyang departs Spain after his “last training session with Barcelona.”
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a striker for Barcelona, is thought to have participated in the team’s final practice on Thursday.
According to AS, the LaLiga club and Chelsea are very close to reaching a deal for the 33-year-old.
Aubameyang, who only left Arsenal as a free agent in February, has been difficult for Chelsea to acquire for a significant sum of money.
Barcelona manager Xavi also wanted to keep Aubameyang, but due to the club’s inability to sell Frenkie de Jong, Aubameyang must be sacrificed in order for them to sign Jules Kounde.
For the player, Chelsea will fork over a total of €25 million (£21 million).
After playing against Manchester City in a friendly on Wednesday night, Aubameyang showed up at Barca’s Ciutat Esportiva complex on Thursday morning for a light workout.
However, the players will not report for another session until early on Saturday morning because they have Friday off.
Spanish journalist Gerard Romero also posted video of Aubameyang arriving at Barcelona airport early on Thursday afternoon on his Jijantes FC Twitch channel.
He is reportedly traveling to Paris to spend time with his family, but once Chelsea’s contract has been approved, it is not impossible for him to fly directly from Paris to London.
