Bayelsa Utd defeated Darkoa Ladies of Ghana to advance to the CAF Champions League.
After defeating Ampem Darkoa Ladies 3-0 in the WAFU B playoff championship, Nigerian champions Bayelsa United qualified for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
After their group stage match finished in a 0-0 stalemate, it was their second encounter in the competition.
The first half of the game in Yammousoukro saw all three goals scored.
In the eleventh minute, Miracle Joseph gave the Nigerian Ladies the lead.
Flourish Sabastine, a forward with the Falconets, doubled the lead after 19 minutes, and Chinyere Igbomalu added a third three minutes before halftime.
Bayelsa Queens had the distinction at the time.
The Rivers Angels participated in the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League in 2017 but were eliminated in the group round.
Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa won the contest.
