EPL: Man United has ordered Ronaldo, Maguire, and Shaw to leave right away
United has ordered Ronaldo, Maguire, and Shaw to leave right away
After being excluded from Monday night’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool, former Manchester United midfielder Patrice Evra suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Maguire, and Luke Shaw leave the organization.
Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, benched the trio following back-to-back defeats to Brentford and Brighton.
And Evra, who played more than 370 times for United, thinks Ten Hag deserves a lot of credit for the audacious choice that resulted in a 2-1 victory.
Evra said, “When you beat Liverpool, you get the fans on your side, and that will be a big boost for him,” while speaking in his capacity as a Betfair ambassador. Ten Hag will now need to make decisions for the team rather than for himself.
“I’m certain that the starting eleven played a significant role in that victory. We would have lost without a doubt if we had started the game against Brentford and Brighton with the same lineup. I believe Ten Hag was self-centered and only concerned with himself. He would have said, “I should fire really crucial players and make changes because I don’t want to lose my job,” and he did.
