Abia North Senator, Orji Uzor Kalu has stated that he has no personal ambition to become Nigeria’s next president but if given the opportunity, he won’t reject it.

Kalu who made the submission on Sunday when he featured as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics declared that he is very capable if it is the will of God.

“I am not having that kind of ambition, but if I am given, why not? I can take it,” the former Abia State Governor declared.

On prophecies from some clergymen that he will be Nigeria’s next President after Muhammadu Buhari, Kalu submitted that he is a catholic and catholic don’t see visions.

He however added that if it is God’s will for him, he is ready and available.

“I am a Catholic. In the Catholic church, we don’t see visions. Well, if visions are being seen, and people say this and that, if it is the will of God that I will become president, why not? I am very capable mentally and otherwise to do whatever Nigerian people want me to do but not through prophecy,” the lawmaker noted.

He also threw his weight behind the calls for Igbo presidency in 2023 saying it will be the right thing to do.

“I believe if Nigerians and the Nigerian people want to be fair, a Southeast president from Igbo extraction will be the next thing to do,” he declared.
