Chimaobi Ebisike of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has emerged as the winner of the Aba North and South Federal Constituency by-election held at the weekend.


It was gathered that the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Returning Officer for the constituency, Prof. Fidelis Okpata from the Federal University, Ndufu Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi State announced that Chimaobi Ebisike of the PDP polled 10,322 votes to defeat his closest rival, Mascot Uzor Kalu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 3,674 votes.


All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate Destiny Nwagwu and Action Alliance (AA) standard-bearer Okey Prestige polled 1,554 and 199 votes to emerge a distant 3rd and 4th, while the candidates of the APM and NRM scored 10 and 13 votes.
