The candidates are invited to submit an application for the 2023 Hong Kong PhD Fellowship. International applicants have the chance to complete their PhD programs at Top Hong Kong Universities through the Hong Kong Fellowship. Note that students pursuing a bachelor’s degree (16 years of education) may apply directly for a Hong Kong PhD fellowship, and students pursuing a master’s degree may apply for a Hong Kong Scholarship for international students. The expenses will all be paid for by the Hongkong government. It has renowned universities and top-notch education. Start submitting online applications right away.

 

Eight prestigious universities in total are taking part in the fellowship program. Any academic field of study offered by the university is open to applicants. There are no requirements for academic background. For the academic year 2023, 300 scholarships will be awarded for study in Hong Kong. If you previously earned a degree in English, there is no need for a language test like the IELTS.

The Hing Kong Government Scholarship seeks to draw the best and brightest students from around the world to Hong Kong’s universities to pursue Direct Ph.D. studies. There is no application fee for this scholarship from the government. As all of the expenses are funded, don’t worry about them. How to Apply for the HKPFS 2023-24

Eligible candidates should first make an Initial Application online through the Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme Electronic System (HKPFSES) to obtain an HKPFS Reference Number by 1st December 2022 before submitting applications for Ph.D. admission to their desired universities.

Applicants may choose up to two programs/ departments at one or two universities for Ph.D. study under HKPFS 2023/24. They should comply with the admission requirements of their selected universities and programs.

As the deadlines for applications to some of the universities may immediately follow that of the Initial Application, candidates should submit initial applications as early as possible to ensure that they have sufficient time to submit applications to universities.

  • Step 2: Submit Full Applications to Proposed Universities
