Premier League: Newcastle boss discusses Ronaldo joining team to play in Champions League

Claims that Cristiano Ronaldo might join Newcastle if they make the Champions League have drawn criticism from Eddie Howe, the manager of the club.

There have been rumors that Ronaldo’s Al Nassr contract contains a clause allowing him to play for the Magpies in the Premier League again.

Howe has refuted the existence of such an agreement before Tuesday night’s trip to Arsenal.

Howe remarked, “We wish Cristiano the best of luck in his endeavor, but from our perspective, there’s no truth in that.

The Saudi Arabian club earlier in the day held Ronaldo’s official unveiling.

He reportedly declined offers from the US, Brazil, and Portugal, according to the 37-year-old.

  1. Seems like Ronaldo move to Al Nassr was something done before the start of the season. I’m getting to believe that Ronaldo used that interview with Morgan to force United to terminate his contract.

Al Nassr #7 shirt was worn by Uzbekistan attacker, Jaloliddin Masharipov. Since his arrival in 2021, Masharipov has been wearing the #7 shirt which he wears for his country also.

Before the start of the current season, he was asked by club to switch his favorite #7 despite wearing it during the preseason. The number seven shirt was taken from him and he chose 77 which he wears currently.

Since he dropped the #7 shirt, no player took it despite new signings were made before the start of the season.

The shirt was reserved for Ronaldo. Ronaldo move to Al Nassr was something planned a very long time ago!
