The successes of Fayemi made Ekiti’s guber victory a foregone conclusion – APC
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has claimed that Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi’s achievements helped the party win the governorship race in the state.
Mr. Felix Morka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, stated in a statement released Sunday that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) emerged in third place in the just-concluded election, despite its claim to a self-serving and self-assigned rescue mission for Nigeria.
It stated that the people of Ekiti State, and by extension, Nigerians, are not fooled in any manner by a desperate party seeking a return to power in order to continue its catastrophic adventures.
Without a question, the well-deserved victory in Ekiti State was an eloquent evidence of the party’s acceptability under President Muhammadu Buhari’s leadership, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu’s sagacity, and the extraordinary commitment of members of the National Working Committee, according to the ruling party (NWC).
“As we savor the joy and euphoria of victory in the just-concluded gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) wishes to congratulate and profoundly appreciate the wonderful people of Ekiti State for reaffirming their confidence in our party by rallying around Governor-Elect Biodun Oyebanji,” the statement said.
“It’s worth noting that incumbent Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode John Fayemi’s, illustrious achievements served as a solid foundation for this.”
