Done deal: Aston Villa complete the signing of Emiliano Martinez from Arsenal

It was fairly obvious that Emiliano Martinez was going to be on his way out of Arsenal after he was left out of the squad to face Fulham yesterday.

He proved last season that he can play in the Premier League but he was never going to be the number 1 after Bernd Leno recovered from his injury, so a move to Aston Villa looks like a great thing for him.

Barca ‘eye Kylian Mbappe as replacement for Lionel Messi

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly informed Paris Saint-Germain that he wants to move on in the summer of 2021 and Barcelona wants him to replace Lionel Messi.

France international Mbappe has established himself has one of Europe’s finest attackers and at the age of 21 is a four-time Ligue 1 winner, has lifted the World Cup for his country and also won the French Cup and French League Cup twice each.

And now, The Times say that Mbappe has informed PSG sporting director Leonardo of his desire to depart the Parc des Princes in a year’s time.

He is under contract until 2022 and next summer’s window will be PSG’s last chance to bring in a huge fee for the Frenchman’s services unless he pens an extension.

The Times say that Real Madrid and Barcelona will both look to sign Mbappe given that the La Liga giants have been quiet in the current window, which has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

Barca could lose Lionel Messi in 2021, which would free up funds for them to make an approach to PSG.

Lucas Vazquez considers Real Madrid exit as Qatari side submit offer

Lucas Vazquez is pondering cutting off his long association with Real Madrid, as the Spanish champions have received an offer for the academy product.

The winger was a bit part player in Madrid’s LaLiga triumph last season, starting just eight matches in the league and contributing two goals and two assists.

Zinedine Zidane is willing to let the 29 year old go this summer, with Marca reporting that an unnamed Qatari club have submitted an ‘important financial offer’ for the Spaniard.

The winger only has one year left on his Madrid deal and the Spanish giants could push Vasquez out to avoid the star leaving for free.

Salah wants Barcelona move

New Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman wants to make Mohamed Salah his blockbuster signing of the summer and the Liverpool forward is keen to move to the Nou Camp, according to football agent Sjaak Swart.

The Egyptian made a blistering start to the 2020/21 campaign by scoring a hat-trick in the 4-3 win over Leeds yesterday.

But his days at Anfield could be numbered as Barcelona are considering a swoop after going through their first trophyless season in 12 years.
