Here is today’s transfer news on Declan Rice, Sergio Reguilon, Edouard Mendy, Jesse Lingard and Daniel James as at 6am.
West Ham have told Chelsea that Declan Rice is not for sale for any price this summer, but the Blues are undeterred as they look to bring the 21-year-old back to the club.
Rice was let go by Chelsea’s academy as a 15-year-old, but was quickly snapped up by the Irons, where he has blossomed into one of the Premier League’s leading defensive midfielders. He was an ever-present in the West Ham team last season, and has garnered plenty of attention in his 100+ appearances for the east London side.
Tottenham have completed the signing of Sergio Reguilón from Real Madrid for around €30m on a 5-year contract. The Spanish giants have a €45m buy-back clause.
Chelsea are on the verge of sealing a £22 million move to sign goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Rennes.
The 28 year old is thought to have agreed terms with the Blues earlier this week but the two clubs still had a number of issues to iron out before the deal could go through.
Tottenham want to sign Manchester United’s England midfielder Jesse Lingard, 27, for £30m.
Leeds United will try to sign Manchester United winger Daniel James, 22, if the Wales international becomes surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
