Brighton sign Karbownik & Moder

Brighton have announced the deadline day signings of Michael Karbownik and Jakub Moder via their official website.

Karbownik signed a four-year contract at the Amex Stadium before being sent back to Legia Warsaw on loan for the duration of the 2020-21 campaign.

Moder, meanwhile, will remain at Lech Poznan on a season-long loan after committing his future to Brighton through to 2025.

Man City’s Stones rejected deadline day Spurs switch

Manchester City defender John Stones rejected a deadline day move to Tottenham – as the Daily Star reports.

Spurs wanted to bring in the 26-year-old on a season-long loan deal, but he did not wish to uproot his family and move to London.

Stones has fallen down the pecking order at City following Ruben Dias’ arrival from Benfica, and is no longer guaranteed regular minutes under Pep Guardiola.

Manchester United will return for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho in January – according to The Sun.

The England international still wants a move to Old Trafford, and the Red Devils are prepared to re-open negotiations with BVB in the new year.

United refused to meet Dortmund’s €120 million (£109m/$141m) valuation of Sancho in the summer transfer window amid the financial uncertainty of the coronavirus crisis.
