Former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido has declared that he can never enter the mosque to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari.

He also added that he can’t advise the President on how to run the affairs of Nigeria.

Explaining the reasons behind his submission, Lamido said Buhari once labelled him and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as thieves.

“I am from an opposition party, no matter how much I love Buhari or his cabinet, I can’t enter mosque and pray for him.

“People called us [PDP] thieves and voted APC

“So, it is left for them to judge now.

“If Buhari is doing good, they know and let him lead Nigeria forever, but if he is doing wrong, we are always there to come and takeover in order to do the right thing,” he was quoted by Daily Trust to have said in an interview with BBC Hausa.

He added that it is left to Nigerians to evaluate the difference between the performances of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the PDP which they voted out of office in 2015.

In his comments about the celebration of Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary celebration during the interview, the former governor of Jigawa State said the country has made some progress but its leaders have not maximized the resources available to develop the nation.

“You can’t say in the past 60 years of our independence that there is no progress, there is.

“But, honestly, our leaders are not taking advantage of the natural resources we have in the country to make us progress and live better,” he reports Lamido once served as foreign minister under former President Olusegun Obasanjo, served as governor twice, and later ran for president under the PDP.

          1. I think this is not the solution to Nigeria problem right now, let’s work in hand to achieve a common goal

  1. What Hon. Duke Lamido said is true and accurate, but it’s quite painful and unfortunate that Buhari cannot fulfil the choices, decisions and desires of the All Progressive Congress Party, but that doesn’t mean that he should be over-looked for him to turn Nigeria upside down, it will still affect all of us now or later.

  2. Man forget white people’s politics is not madness. How dare you say you can’t pray for Buhari, then what if you were in his shoes?
