The biggest news in the country for almost two weeks now has been the news of SARS. Day by day, protests are being held in different parts of the country, as youths call on the government to put an end to SARS and Police brutalities. Despite the government announcing the disbandment of SARS, the youths are still not wanting to stop the protests and agitations. Both on the streets and on the social media, everywhere is filled with #EndSARS.

The government has done it’s best to see that the protesters stop protesting, they have done their best to see that the demands of the youths are met. Just today, the government had through it’s Twitter handle, announced that there would be a meeting, where they would discuss how to put an end to the Police brutalities. Invited to the meeting were; The I.G of Police, Falz, Dr. Joe Abah, Segalink and Durosinmi.

Despite the fact that these people invited, except the Police I.G, are almost like the youth leaders, they have refused to attend the meeting. Each of them had through their Twitter handles announced that they wouldn’t attend the meeting. I now wonder how they expect the government to meet their demands. Below are screenshots of what each of them said;

1) Falz:

2) Dr. Joe Abah:

3) Segalink:

4) Durosinmi:

Does this mean that it’s only the Police I.G that would attend the meeting? That’s what it seems. This is clearly not good at all, it even goes to show that they are not serious with their demands. Boycotting the meeting organized by the government is not a good thing at all, and I still wonder how they expect the government to meet their demands.

Please leave a comment below on what you think of this. Was it a right decision by these guys to ignore the meeting? Or did they actually do the right thing? Please have your say on this. Follow me for more updates please.

          1. D government have disappointed us d citizens ….so if we disappoint them this once …its not a big deal nah

          1. Until you calm down an angry person before you can sit and discuss with him. The youths are still very angry and need to be listened to. They might have lost confidence in the latent function of the meeting. Protesters are telling government that certain things going on are not correct and needs correction. The government should know this and do the needfull. Protesters ate partners in progress and not enemies of progress.

      1. 😠😠 when SARS and Police are doing their own brutality nobody in those panel of Judges say something about it that is wickedness, now what is going on in the country is that YOUTH ARE now WAKING UP 🙅‍♂🙅‍♂🙅‍♂ so let them protest and let the government think about this country future 👉👉
