Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has expressed that governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are determined to rescue Nigeria.

Tambuwal, who is the chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, revealed this on Sunday at a state banquet organised by Akwa-lbom government for governors of the party.

Tambuwal pointed out that PDP governors will not disappoint Nigerians who are looking up to them to actualise their yearnings for the party to return to power in 2023.

“These star-studded leaders of PDP governors in their respective states and political generals are determined by the grace of God through your prayers, support and cooperation, to rescue Nigeria,” he said.

“It is a task that we must accomplish to the glory of God and his glory alone.

“God on our side, we are determined as leaders, to provide that platform for the emergence of another PDP leadership in this country, come 2023.”

    2. Rescue Nigerians from what, the country is full of corruption both the lesrders and the citizens are corrupt so if they arr now talking on rescuing the country then let everyone work on their own corrupt mind especially the leaders

    1. PDP for me have so much disappointed me and a whole lot of Nigerians who are expecting them to be better opposition to this bad APC led government. But rather, PDP are still trying to find their fees after six years out of power.
They’re expecting the masses to wrestle power from APC and handed it over to them. For me, is that’s the case – they should be ready to immediately hit the ground running for a total turnaround for the Nigerian Youths at least to cushion the effects of bad governance the people have been through in eight to nine years

  1. PDP to rescue Nigeria come 2023 , let me ask where was PDP when APC over throned them and where is PDP now that the country is at the climax of collapsing is it when things have gone out of hand that they will come for RESCUE ?

  4. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said that Nigeria needs more leaders who are proactive and prepared to bring the country together.

He said this in Lagos on Sunday during a courtesy visit to the palace of Oniru of Iruland, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, on the occasion of the monarch’s first coronation anniversary.

Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, revealed this via a statement titled, ‘Nigeria needs leaders prepared to unite Nigerians, Osinbajo says at Oniru’s One Year Coronation Anniversary’.

While extolling the Oba for his leadership to the inhabitants of Iruland who hail from diverse socio-ethnic backgrounds, Osinbajo said, “Our country needs all the leaders, the best leaders, the most proactive leaders, leaders prepared to bring the country together.

“Lagos is a microcosm of Nigeria, everybody is here, if things work out well here, things will be okay in the country.

“I am sure your role here is that of someone who brings together communities not just Yorubas, but everybody. And I can see that from your choice of chiefs, you have gone to other parts, and I think this is the attitude of great leaders.”

The Vice President added that it is impossible to relegate traditional rulers because of the exposure and education of those who occupy those positions today.

In his remarks, the Oniru of Iruland thanked the Vice President for his leadership and commitment to the progress of the country.

“You are a leader whose direction we will continue to follow. The relationship between the Vice President and I has been very cordial.

“I want to assure you, Mr. Vice President, that I will not disappoint you, I will ensure the progress of this kingdom and I will be just.”
