Tottenham Hotspur will fine Harry Kane for failing to show up for pre-season training on Monday, according to Sky Sports.

The 28-year-old was due to return yesterday, following a short holiday after playing in Euro 2020.

It is understood Spurs are “disappointed” with Kane’s actions.

In May, Kane informed the club he wanted to leave this summer with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all interested.

At the end of June, City submitted a £100m bid for the England captain.

Kane is valued at upwards of £120m, but Tottenham are keen to keep him despite the striker believing he has a gentleman’s agreement with chairman Daniel Levy.

Levy said in June that he sympathises with Kane’s frustrations about the lack of silverware at Spurs, but hinted a deal could be difficult to do.

    1. If a player wants to leave u can force him to stay….he feels he cannot win a major trophies in Tottenham..that city might give to him so if he choose to leave let him go

  1. Why having strong stance on Harry this term by Spurs – this is not good for both party.
If he has a gentleman agreement with the Chairman, Dany Levy I do not see why Spur will renege to allow him leave. We may be witnessing more drama to the extent of FIFA will have to interven on this matter.

  2. Lionel Messi did not turn up for training with Barcelona, as the delay surrounding him signing a new deal with the club continues.

The first-team squad are currently in Germany, where they have been based for the past week.

They are preparing for a pre-season friendly game against Salzburg on Wednesday.

Summer signing Sergio Aguero was expected to start preseason on Monday, but returned a few days early and has been working alone at the club’s training base since Friday.

Brazil defender, Emerson Royal, also underwent COVID-19 and medical checks on Monday ahead of returning to training this week.

Messi was also due back in today, but ESPN reports the club and the player have decided to delay his start date
