Manchester City will only sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus, if manager Pep Guardiola allows Raheem Sterling to leave, according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Ronaldo is believed to be very keen on a move to England and wants to sign for City.

The 36-year-old is into the last 11 months of his current contract with Juve and is seeking a new challenge.

It is understood that Ronaldo might not even consider a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, as he wants to play under Pep Guardiola.

Juventus is ready to do a deal if City sends Gabriel Jesus as part of the deal.

However, Guardiola will only sanction a move for Ronaldo if Sterling leaves.

Sterling currently wears the no.7 shirt that Ronaldo favours for the Premier League champions.

  2. Pep will only approve Ronaldo move except sterling leaves. Does that make sense because of No. 7 shirt or what? Ronaldo can not play more than 2 years while sterling still have a lot to offer. it is not advisable to trade sterling for Ronaldo. rather allow Sterling to change his shirt no. 7 and give him another number allow him to understudy Ronaldo. Man city should not make decision they will regret.

  8. Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said Cristiano Ronaldo will decide his future amid speculation he is interested in the player.

The Premier League champions are in negotiations to bring in Ronaldo, after missing out on Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, who was their top target this summer.

Guardiola, speaking to the media on Friday, said he expects his squad to remain unchanged with the transfer deadline just four days away.

“I cannot say much. So Harry Kane announces he is continuing at his club, an exceptional club like Tottenham, and Cristiano was a Juventus player, I think is a Juventus player and I cannot add anything else.
