Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has called up 30 players for their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Liberia and Cape Verde in September.

Nigeria play Liberia on September 3 in Lagos, before travelling to Cape Verde four days later.

Rohr has picked a strong squad, including seven players that would replace UK-based stars, if the British government does not grant them an exemption for the trip to Cape Verde (a red-listed country in their coronavirus watch).

  6. However, MC Okpeke, who seems to know more about the story, noted that “Ehi Ogbebor was [only] contracted for the furnishing and finishing of the Omoto Fufeyins’ family home in Warri, Delta.”

Ogbebor was the first to deny having anything to do with the cleric apart from business.

  7. Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said Cristiano Ronaldo will decide his future amid speculation he is interested in the player.

The Premier League champions are in negotiations to bring in Ronaldo, after missing out on Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, who was their top target this summer.

Guardiola, speaking to the media on Friday, said he expects his squad to remain unchanged with the transfer deadline just four days away.

“I cannot say much. So Harry Kane announces he is continuing at his club, an exceptional club like Tottenham, and Cristiano was a Juventus player, I think is a Juventus player and I cannot add anything else.

  8. This Nigeria Coach would be the first Coach that i know that handle a team for the past three or four years yet never have a team still. He has been searching for team God know when. Many of this present players are getting tired. player like Leo Balogun, Kenneth Omeru and Troost Ekoing and the likes. How ever, I wish them best of luck.
