The international week went by pretty quickly. And the football we really want to watch is back!

The English Premier League enters its eighth week, with Watford welcoming Liverpool. This fixture has recent history behind it. The Hornets famously stopped Jurgen Klopp’s men from going unbeaten, before they eventually won the title in 2020.

Although, Liverpool went on to lose again before the season ended, Watford sort of laid down a marker and ripped their invincibility apart.

The Reds will have that in mind when they take the trip to London.

The two Manchester clubs will be in action shortly afterwards. United go to Leicester City, while City welcome Burnley.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be without his first-choice central defenders, Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire. But Marcus Rashford is back in the squad after shoulder surgery.

It will not be an easy one for United, as they have not been playing too well. But the Red Devils hardly lose away from home and should at least nick a point.

Back in Manchester, expect Pep Guardiola’s men to blow the Clarets away.

Saturday’s late kick-off will be between Brentford and Chelsea. This game has the potential to be quite a thrilling affair.

Infact, it will be the tactical battle of Thomases – Frank and Tuchel.

The hosts are a well-drilled, energetic and fearless team, while the Blues go into the encounter looking to stay top of the league.

Chelsea will be without their first-choice central defenders, Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva. Ivan Toney will be licking his lips.

If the champions of Europe want to become the champions of England, this is one tough game they must get maximum points.
