Five top football stars that Zinedine Zidane would bring along to Manchester United if he succeeds Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have been revealed.

Solskjaer’s position at Old Trafford is currently under heavy scrutiny and many have tipped Zinedine Zidane for the Red Devils hot-seat.

Zidane”s impressive CV puts him on the frontline in the shortlist of managers to take over Old Trafford.

He remains the first manager in history to win three consecutive Champions League titles.

According talkSPORT, the Frenchman’s will demand these five players from United in January if Solskjaer is relieved of his duties.

They include Jules Kounde from Sevilla; Dani Carvajal from Real Madrid; West Ham United’s Declan Rice; Toni Kroos from Real Madrid and Ajax’s Antony.

Kounde has been linked with United in light of the injury to Raphael Varane and the questionable form of back-ups Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly.

For Carvajal, the Real Madrid right-back could be a great option to turn to as he proved to be a great player for Zidane during his two spells in the Spanish capital.

If England midfielder, Rice joins and Zidane could persuade Kroos to come to Old Trafford as well, United would boast arguably the best midfield in Europe.

Although United already have incredible strength in depth, a deal for Ajax’s Antony could be a great piece of business

  8. Thanks for the update Climaxtrend Former Manchester United striker, Michael Owen has predicted some of this weekend’s English Premier League, EPL, games.

Chelsea will face Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon at the King Power Stadium.

Watford will host Manchester United in an away Premier League tie on Saturday.

Liverpool will tackle Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday evening, while Man City will face Everton on Sunday at Etihad.

Providing his predictions, Owen told BetVictor: “Thomas Tuchel was furious to drop points at home to Burnley last time out. The Blues were leading and cruising, but you are always vulnerable if you don’t get that crucial second goal. It is a big week for the club with games at home to Juventus and Man United to follow, so I am expecting a good performance here.

“There is not much to separate these two, but I think Chelsea will narrowly edge it. I am going for 2-1 Chelsea.

Commenting on the Watford vs Manchester United game, Owen said, “Watford have scored in just one of their four games under Ranieri and that 5-2 win against Everton is looking more and more like an anomaly. They are firmly in a tough run of fixtures, and I don’t see things getting any better.

“I thought Man United were disappointing against City in the derby. There was no desire, no drive in the team and it was all so easy for City. United were far too cagey and looked way behind their rivals.

“This is an ideal game for them, though. Watford are in poor form and are struggling to score. I can see a comfortable 2-0 United win.”

Speaking on the Liverpool vs Arsenal match, Owen said, “This fixture has produced some classics down the years, could we see another here? The Reds followed up that draw against Brighton with a defeat against West Ham and Jurgen Klopp was understandably not happy. They’ve had some defensive issues in recent weeks and that will need sorting.

“That is now three wins in a row for Arsenal and just one goal conceded in that time. This will be a major test of where they are, though.

“I fancy Liverpool to get back to winning ways here. I can see Arsenal scoring, but I don’t trust their defence, 3-1 Liverpool.”

Commenting on the Manchester City vs Everton, “City were very impressive in the derby win against Man United. They controlled the ball and the game, particularly in the last half an hour. I thought Kyle Walker was immense at the back, I don’t think there’s a better full-back pairing in the world than Cancelo and Walker currently.

“Everton’s 0-0 draw against Spurs was uneventful. They had lost their last three, so it stops that run, at least. They have not won in the league since September, though and the pressure is beginning to build on Benitez.

“It won’t get any better for them here. City are hitting their best form and I can’t see anything but a straightforward 3-0 win for the Citizens.”

  9. Former Manchester City defender, Micah Richards has said that Chile international Alexis Sanchez became a laughing stock at Manchester United.
He said that Sanchez move from Arsenal to Manchester United made him ended up as a ‘laughing stock.’
Sanchez moved to Arsenal from Barcelona in 2014 for a fee of around £35m and became a key player under Arsene Wenger.
He scored 60 goals in 122 Premier League appearances, and also helped the Gunners win the FA Cup in 2015 and 2017 – scoring in both finals.
However, expectations were high when he moved United in 2018 but he managed just three league goals in 32 appearances as his career nosedived.
“He became a laughing stock at Manchester United,” former Manchester City defender Richards said on the BBC’s Top 10 podcast.
“At Arsenal he was quality and he worked hard. He had skill and creativity. He was a go-to man.
“It was sad when he went to United because I thought it was going to be a great move for him.”
