APC denies raising N6.5 trillion to bribe voters and INEC officials in order to rig the elections in 2023.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has refuted the claim that the ruling party has N6.5 trillion set aside to buy votes and influence INEC officials in the general election of 2023.

The staggering amount, which is almost half of the total country’s 2022 budget, was intended by the APC to rig the 2023 election, according to the leaked document dubbed “leaked APC 2023 Election Document” that is currently making the rounds on social media.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, the judiciary, and security personnel at voting places will all be bought off in order to rig the election.

In a statement disputing the claim, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka called the stolen paper a creation of the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP.

“The All Progressives Congress’ attention has been brought to a document in circulation dubbed as “leaked APC 2023 Election Document,” according to the statement.

The letter falsely claimed that our party had allocated a huge N6.5 trillion to fund plans intended to persuade Nigerians to support and vote for the party and its presidential candidate in 2023. The document further absurdly claimed that outrageous sums of money had been allocated for outright vote-buying, endangering INEC employees, security personnel, judicial officers, and other officials.

“The APC wishes to state unequivocally that the document is not the party,” it says. No such document was created by us, we do not own it, and our party did not create it.

“There is no doubt that the document is my work.”

He said, “How on earth does a government with a N17 trillion national budget distribute N6.5 trillion to rig elections? Our party is committed to giving Nigerians the benefits of democracy in the hopes that they would return the favor by endorsing and voting for our candidates in the elections of 2023.

“As a law-abiding party, we have no need to do any of the electoral fraud and malpractice outlined in that useless pamphlet. Only a party like the PDP, which is a master thief of the national purse, could ever fathom someone being capable of committing the kinds of heinous deeds the document depicts.

“We implore Nigerians to dismiss the document as the PDP’s well-known sleazy propaganda.
