Ralf Rangnick will not continue at Manchester United when his six months contract expires at Old Trafford but will seek a managerial job at another Premier League club, according to Eurosports.

The German, whose contract papers state that he will continue as the Sports director of Old Trafford after his six months contract expires, does not want to continue at Manchester United

United defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 on Sunday in Rangnick’s first game in charge of the team.

He has largely acted as a director of football in different clubs in Europe than being a manager over the past decade

The plan is for Rangnick to move into a consultancy role at Old Trafford at the end of the season, when the club will hire a permanent boss.

But, Rangnick wants to remain in charge as a manager beyond the six months, and will search for managerial opportunities in the Premier League if he is not given that chance by United.

Eurosport reports that the 63-year-old has a renewed desire for top-level coaching.
