In the transfer calender, we only have five more days to wrap up this unusual August to October summer transfer window.

As we all know, when ever the transfer window is just about to reach the deadline day, the rate at which deals are completed is not comparable to when it started.

So far in this unusual transfer window, top player including the likes of Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech, RB Leipzig Timo Werner, Bayern Leverkusen Kai Havertz and Champions League winner Thiago Alcatara have all grace the transfer window as all now have their new clubs.

DONE DEAL: ASTON VILLA SIGNED ROSS BARLEY FROM CHELSEA

Aston Villa have signed Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley on a season long loan from Chelsea.

The England midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea after the signings of forwards Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and winger Hakim Ziyech. He has not make a Premier League start this season.

TRANSFER EXPERT GIVES UPDATE ON DECLAN RICE

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on his ‘Here we go’ Podcast released today.

To begin with, he says that West Ham have said that Rice is not leaving this window, and there is no sign of a Chelsea offer yet.

That doesn’t mean to say that it won’t arrive anytime now and Chelsea could be encouraged by the fact that Rice wants to join them and is “trying to join Chelsea” in the words of Romano.

The laliga giants boss Ronald Koeman has admitted that Ousmane Dembele’s future at Barcelona is up to the player, amid speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The Red devils are keen on signing the Frenchman from Barcelona after Dortmund rejected their latest offer for Jodan Sancho.

Reports from Spain have claimed that United have agreed a €75million (£68m) deal to sign Dembele and Koeman has now addressed the speculation in his most recent press conference.

Speaking ahead of Barcelona’s trip to Celta Vigo, Koeman claimed Dembele’s future is up to club chiefs and the player himself to sort but added that he is “counting on him”.
