Ruud van Nistelrooy, the manager of PSV Eindhoven, has responded to rumours that his winger Cody Gakpo would leave for Manchester United this summer, as reported by Metro.

This summer, a transfer to Manchester United has been mentioned regarding Gakpo.

Gakpo has reportedly been in communication with Man United boss Erik ten Hag, but no deal has been finalised for the player.

Ten Hag is eager to add to his offensive options this summer, and Gakpo is seen as a less expensive option than Ten Hag’s top attacking target, Antony of Ajax.

However, Van Nistelrooy stated PSV will only say until there is something tangible on Gakpo, praising the player’s professionalism, before PSV’s Eredivisie match with Go Ahead Eagles on Saturday night.

In order to perform at his best, Van Nistelrooy remarked, “He keeps as far away from stuff which produces noise as feasible. Cody is 23 years old, so it’s not always possible, but he seems me as someone who is constantly engaged in his line of work.

We won’t discuss it until there is anything substantial, he continued. We are focusing on his player development and how he can benefit PSV.
